Application Review & Initial Contact
We generally review your application within 2 business days. If you meet our requirements, we will send you an email to schedule a phone interview, with the purpose of getting to an overall idea of the nanny you are, how long you have been a nanny and what type of position you are looking for.
If we feel you meet all of our specified requirements, we will contact you to set up an in-person interview.
We will work with your schedule and meet for an in-person interview to discuss what an ideal family looks like for you, your strengths and experience. This second contact of the interview process will enable us to answer to your questions and provide you with the necessary information on our requirements. Please come prepared with the original copy of your completed resume, personal and past employment references, nanny application, and all the documents required. This is where we will sit down with you and get to know you on a more personal level so we can adequately meet your needs.
We want to learn as much as we can, to match you! If we feel you would be a good fit for our agency, we will begin to build your portfolio and matching process.
After the phone interview and the in-person interview, The Nanny Agency will contact each of your references. This step is crucial and we ask that you take it very seriously. We only take on nannies with outstanding past-employment and personal reference checks. We ask that you come with at least one personal reference and 2 past-employment reference checks. This can be discussed further if you have a special circumstance (i.e – have been with the same family for 2+ years). We will also be conducting a thorough background check at this time.
Upon successfully completing the reference and background check stage, The Nanny Agency will personally work with you to polish up your resume and create a nanny biography for families to view when they are interested in you.
When we have a request for a nanny and we feel you would be a good fit, we will reach out to you with a full description of the position, including salary and other benefits offered. If you are interested and would like to proceed forward, your portfolio will be sent to the potential family. You will meet the family and the child(ren) at their home for an Observation Time and see if the position is a good match for you and for the family.
If you and the family match, you will be given an offer letter, in which you will be formally offered the position with a detailed summary of your expectations, schedule, salary, and benefits. Please take your time in considering the offer and ask questions if you have any. Once you decide you want to accept the offer, you will sign a Contract that The Nanny Agency provides for you.
The contract will be similar to the offer letter in which it will include a detailed summary of the requirements, your schedule, salary, benefits, house rules, driving rules, and anything else discussed between you and the family during the interview. All contracts are at an at-will basis unless discussed, agreed upon and noted otherwise.

After you complete your first official day, The Nanny Agency will contact you to see how it went. This will be done again after the first week. This step is to ensure you feel comfortable, safe and happy with the position. We will periodically check-in with you throughout the duration of your contract and will always be available for you to contact at any time or day with questions or concerns.
